Literate Analysis

  1. The plot of the story is about Harry Potter an orphan who lives with his not so loving family the Dursley's. He is soon encountered by magical things which lead him to going to Hogwarts a wizarding school. He meets Two people named Ron and Hermione which become his friends instantly. They get to the school where thy start to wander off to their adventures. The three kids have a teacher that they believe is evil his name is Severus Snape, because he's always threatening another professor, Professor Quirrell. Soon the go into a forbidden door and go deep into it to find out what lies in it. After facing all the obstacles that are in the secret room the find a mirror and find out that Quirrell is the bad guy all along and they fight for a stone. then after all that Harry is told about Voldemort the person that tried to kill him.
  2. I think that the theme of the story is friendship is everything in defeating an enemy.
  3. The author goes to sleep late and needs caffeine in the morning to wake up. She meditates in the morning to get ready for the day ahead of her. I believe that she has fruits and juice for her breakfast. she writes her book in a way to get lost in the book and keep on reading and wanting more. her tone in the book is adventure and friendship are the best things there are. When Harry, Hermione, and Ron meet in the train and they became friends almost instantly and Harry knew who to be friends with because he denied Draco Malfoys hand of friendship. I believe that the friendship that Ron, Hermione, and Harry had was powerful because Ron, and Hermione would teach and defend Harry from the wizarding world. The three kids would go on adventures around the school to find out things that they aren't supposed to know and then their adventure ended up in them saving the school from a threat called Voldemort
  4. literary terms that ifound was the wands that the wands were used as symbolism because the wand would be used to describe the characteristic of the person who holds the wand.  Also the sorcerers stone which was an imagery which causes the person who wanted it to have gold and immortality and the person who wanted it would want it desperately.
  5. What drew me into the book was that mostly everyone in my English class has read the book and I haven't even heard about It. So I decide to read the book myself and I enjoyed it much.
  6. Something that kept me on reading was that the story had a great ways of showing the way she used her imagination to tell the story. Also the was that she used to describe the story as if she had been there or lived it.
  7. My reading habits aren’t that good this book was one of the couple books that made me read and wanting to read more. It has to be a good book to make me want to read more of it, i was hooked into this book which made me want to read more and more. I still haven’t found another book that was better than Harry Potter.
  8. Two examples of direct characterization is when Harry sees Ron and hermione for the first time, “He was tall, thin, and gangling, with freckles, big hand and feet, and a long nose.”  Also “...lots of bushy brown hair and rather large front teeth.” An example of  indirect characterization is when the described Hermione to always having her nose in a book and when they describe the way she talks in a “...bossy sort of voice...”. The impression that I got from this characters was that they are both people that are really different from each other but turn out to be friends.
  9. The authors way of talking about a character changes toward the character she is talking about because all characters are very distinguished in their own ways. All characters in the book have there own characteristics which make them unique.
  10. The main character is dynamic because he is not willing to stop his adventures with his friends. He is a round character because he is always in a situation that is suspenseful.
  11. After reading the book I felt like I was with the character I enjoyed the book so much. I felt like I knew Harry, Hermione, and Ron well at the end of the book. When the three kids were awarded pouts for their battle against Quirrell in saving the sorcerers stone. It was the best part of the book and left me wanting more.
