Something on my Mind.

Something on my mind is what ima take for this Thursday where our class is having some kind of get together where everyone brings homemade food and the food has to have some story behind it. Which is something cool because personally I like cooking and I’ve been cooking since I was a little kid because my uncle is a chef. I really look up to him so I wanted to do what he does because it is something amazing in my perspective and a really cool job.  Also finals is in my head because I’m worried ima fail my chemistry class because I really don’t understand it and I’m regretting taking honors because it’s way to hard for me so ima take an easier class next year to catch up.

Essay Grade.

A character that I believe is a dynamic character is Jean Valjean. A dynamic character is someone read the story who changes throughout the course of the story. John Valjean is one of the main characters in the story “Les Miserables”. John Valjean has been changing from when we met him till right now that we still reading about him.        During the book of “Les Miserables” we read about a character who had changed often since we read about him and his past. His name was Jean Valjean he was a loving and caring before he went to prison. He would help out with his sister and seven children, and the lives in Povert. Jean Valjean, desperate to find a job and get money to help out his sister and children he had to steal some bread from a shop to feed his nephew and sister. For trying to help out with his family he was sent to prison where he started to change.         When he got sent to prison he had changed from a...

Calling out my shot

How well will you do on tomorrow's exam? I forgot to post this but my thought on the exam that we took yesterday was worrying because I had not memorized that much of the lit. Terms so I would have trouble working on them. Then I found out we could use the internet so I believed it would be easier to work but then It was a matter of time which was 25ish minutes which seemed like  a lot at the beginning but turned out to be a little to me idk bout the rest of the class

LURKING LIT TECHNIQUES

Explain how studying your lit terms has helped you understand our reading by pointing out three examples of technique that you found in our reading today. Reading with my lit. Circle has helped me cooperate more with other students and work as a team. We all have a job to do and we need to help each other out because without each other we would be lost. The lit circle lets us prepare for the essay that we are going to have. It would also help us help each other out finding the lit terms that are going to be on our test.

SOMETHING I'M THINKING ABOUT

Something I’m thinking about is how ima get my grade up for chemistry because I have all As for all my classes except for my chemistry class which is a C- and it’s hard for me to understand what’s going on because all of it is going fast. I try my best to be in the same pace as everyone but it gets so fast that I have trouble keeping up. Another thing I think about is how ima do during high school to graduate. That’s what I’m thinking about right now.

HERE'S YOUR SILVER

Did the bishop's reaction surprise you?  Why/why not?  Do you think the bishop serves as a meaningful example/role model?  Why/why not? I thought that the bishop would finally break and get mad at Jean Valjean. Because for so long he’s been dealing with people like that who take and take he would break and get mad and send him back to prison. The bishop is a good role model because he divides to help out the people who need help and he doesn’t care if they take something that he needs to feed himself. He gives it to Jean Valjean because he needs the help bad to move on in life.

STAYING POWER

What stays with you after you read?  What doesn't?   Something that stays with me when I read is the character, plot, and setting. I try to remember those parts of the story because they are the main things in the story that matter the most and then I would be able to figure out what’s going on in the story.  Something that doesn’t stay with me in a story is the beginning because it’s really hard for me to concentrate because I feel that I have to read the whole book but by a few chapters I am so into the book that I want it to keep on going.

WE ARE [NOT] LES MIS

Working with my liter. Group is kinda complicated because we have some trouble communicating with each other. Also we have one or two guys who have trouble logging in but we find a solution for that. Then for the google docs half of us wants to be organized but the other half just want to put it on the doc just like that. Soon we’ll get the hang of it and work as a true team.

MY SEMESTER GOAL

For this semester I want to get all my grade to “A’s”. Currently I have all “A’s” except for a “C-“ in my chemistry class. I hope to get the hang of it and be able to pass the class just like my other classes I have some trouble with the things that they are talkin bout but I hope I can get my grade up in that class.

INCITING INCIDENT

What was it like to read the action in Les Mis after all that exposition?  Are you excited to find out what happens next? It has a good exposition because Jean Valjean has been treated with kindness by the bishop. The bishop opened up his doors to the man and on there sleep he stole there silverware and just dipped. As the book goes on it’s stops giving long chapters bout the characters and starts getting into the good parts bout the story. I’m pretty excited bout what’s going to happen next in the chapter that comes.

THIS BOOK MATTERS

Write about anything in the book that jumped out at you and/or stuck with you after reading it.  Something that stuck out to me is that the bishop didn’t care about what others thought of him he treated them as if they were really good friends. He treated Jean Valjean as if he were family even though he was an ex convict and everyone rejected him. He believed he was still a good man and he helped him out in his time of need.
